Gotta go fast! If you are a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog then you will love this mod. It adds just about every block from the original series and all of the collectable items as well. Customize your own levels and play the 2D sidescroller in the 3D world of Minecraft.
The great thing about this mod is you can create your whole world to look just like the game or even just a series of different levels. You could even open up a multiplayer server and have your friends run the levels you create with all the bonuses and coins and traps you’re used to.
Not only can you live in the classic Sonic the Hedgehog worlds, but you can even get a bit of his speed. One of the many items added with this mod is Sonic’s speed boots to give you an extra oomph in your step.
And what Sonic Mod would be complete without the classic characters? This mod adds all your favorites as new mobs to the game. You obviously have Sonic but you also get Tails, Knuckles, Amy and of course Dr. Eggman himself amongst several others.
You even get the chance to fight the ever irritating Moto Bug and Buzz Bomber plus the special boss is Chaos 0 from the Sonic Adventure Series.

The Sonic the Hedgehog mod by MCVoxelSH is an incredibly Minecraft mod that’s been inspired by the game series of everyone’s favorite hedgehog. The Sonic franchise but not be doing all too well right now but that doesn’t change the fact that it has multitudes of fans around the globe and, thanks to a certain fan’s creativity, various gameplay features from the Sonic games have now found their way into Minecraft. If you’re a fan of the Sonic games then you’ll definitely love using this mod but, even if you aren’t, it’s still quite likely that you’ll enjoy the features that this mod brings to the table because they add a lot of depth to the gameplay.
The most iconic and memorable feature of every single Sonic game has been the ability to move at incredibly high speeds and the Sonic the Hedgehog mod adds special Speed Shoes to the game that allow players to go incredibly fast to feel that same sense of speed in Minecraft. The mod also features various items that we’ve seen in this Franchise from time to time such as The Piko Piko Hammer and the Caliburn sword from Sonic and the Black Knight.
To make things feel more sonic-like, the Sonic the Hedgehog mod features various items from the franchise that have been implemented in the form of blocks. There’s a spring that bounces players into the air, a dash panel that gives players a boost of movement speed, a special invincibility blocks that makes players invincible, a shield box that’ll give you extra hearts and, finally, there are the iconic rings that you’ll recall collecting in the Sonic games in order to stay alive.
